At the foot of Rodnei at 800 meters altitude, is Borsa, a town full of tradition and history. After the southern part of Maramures was annexed by Hungary, Hungarians ski enthusiasts sought places to build international quality slopes. They chose, finally, the Baile Borsa, located in northern Rodnei Mountains.
